Classes and Events

Bellevue's Neighborhood Outreach Team offers a variety of events and classes for residents who want to learn more about their neighborhoods, community and city government:

Neighborhood Leadership Gathering: Come join the discussion!   These semi-annual gatherings are open to anyone who has a passion for investing in their community and a willingness to share their heart, vision, priorities and best practices with other like-minded leaders across Bellevue. Topics vary.

Bellevue Essentials: Your on-ramp to civic leadership. This is a nine-week class providing introduction the inner workings of city government and civic engagement. Applications due Aug. 1. Class runs Sept. 27-Nov. 29. Space is limited to 35 participants.

Neighborhood Trainings and Forums: These are offered each year to provide educational opportunities for neighborhood leaders and residents. Classes either focus on a current topic of community interest or on a set of skills and tools that are useful to residents and/or neighborhood associations. Times and topics vary.

Better Together Conference: This is Bellevue’s neighborhood conference, a full day of activities and workshops designed to provide inspiration and practical know-how for seasoned neighborhood leaders and new residents alike. The next Neighborhood Conference is scheduled for spring 2018.

Join in conversation with the City Manager and members of the leadership team.  Share what’s important to you in your neighborhood.  City Manager Brad Miyake will be joined by several department directors to listen to what’s on your mind about our city and issues important to you.
