Bellevue Essentials

Bellevue Essentials provides an entry point for emerging community leaders. This transformational nine-week program highlights the structures and inner workings of city government in many arenas. Topics include demographics, public process, city planning, economic development, human services, utilities, finance and transportation, public safety, and more.

The 2016 class graduated in November. Graduates are well equipped to get more involved in the City and non-profit arenas on the Eastside, and become members of the Bellevue Essentials Extended Alumni organization, a networking and civic engagement group.

The admission process involves a short application and essays. Applicants must live or work in Bellevue and be committed to attending at least 7 of the 9 sessions.

Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings, beginning September 27, 2017.
