Transportation for Business

Rendering of a light-rail train in Bellevue.

Bellevue is located in the geographic center of Puget Sound and is well connected to other parts of the region via:

By car, downtown Bellevue is less than 20 minutes to Microsoft’s headquarters, downtown Seattle, and the University of Washington, and less than 30 minutes to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

The region’s popular bus services pass through a major hub in downtown Bellevue that connects the city center directly to downtown Seattle, Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond, Renton, and other major residential and employment areas across the region.

The Eastside Rail Corridor is a multimodal trail that will connect the Bellevue like never before to the cities of Kirkland, Redmond, Renton, and Woodinville. It will also provide new opportunities for regional recreation and transportation by connecting to the Mountains to Sound Greenway and the WA-520 Bicycle Trail, allowing bicycle commuting to and from anywhere in the region.

Beginning in 2023, light rail will pass through the heart of Bellevue’s downtown, Spring District, and Bel-Red corridors. Bellevue will be the heart of a line stretching from Seattle to the Microsoft campus in Redmond.
