Environmental Stewardship

The City of Bellevue is known as a "City in a Park", and through our Environmental Stewardship Initiative, we coordinate and manage a range of programs to help protect the environment in Bellevue.

  •  -Transportation and Land Use;
  •  -Trees and Open Space;
  •  -Waste; and
  •  -Water

 

The Environmental Stewardship Strategic Plan offers a wealth of details about the initiative. The plan includes 57 strategies to support goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing mobility options, reducing waste, increasing energy efficiency and water conservation, and enhancing our ecosystems and open spaces.
